2018 Barolo Cannubi

0 Retailers Found

Sourced from the historic Cannubi hill in the village of Barolo, with some vines dating to 1946, this wine is vinified on the limestone-dominant Tortonian soil at south-southeast orientation, 290 meters elevation. Fermented in stainless steel with indigenous yeasts over 20–30 days, then aged in French oak barrels and large casks. Known for its aromatic purity and intensity, with notes of wild rose, wild berries and crushed stone, and a harmonious, fine texture that balances firm tannins with lifted acidity. Note: 2018 was the final vintage of Barolo Cannubi for Paolo Scavino.
