Grape variety

Montepulciano

Montepulciano is a red grape variety widely planted in central Italy. It produces full-bodied, deeply colored wines with moderate tannins, good acidity, and rich flavors of dark fruits, herbs, and spice, not to be confused with Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, which is made from Sangiovese.
