Overview
East- and southeast-facing slopes around Vosne-Romanée and Flagey-Échezeaux form one of the Côte de Nuits’ most celebrated vineyard landscapes. Limestone and marl sites produce Pinot Noir combining ripe red and dark fruit, perfume, spice, and refined tannin.
History
Long parcel-based cultivation, including monastic and noble ownership, established the village’s renown well before modern AOC protection.
