Overview
Between Clos de la Roche and Clos des Lambrays, Clos Saint-Denis occupies an east-facing sector around 250 meters. Brown limestone soils with clay support perfumed Pinot Noir noted for red fruit, floral nuance, fine texture, and graceful rather than imposing structure.
History
The site emerged through medieval cultivation associated with the fortress and chapter of Saint-Denis; Grand Cru protection followed in 1936.

The compact appellation lies on the east-facing mid-slope of Morey-Saint-Denis, immediately south of Clos de la Roche.
Climate
Continental conditions and morning exposure encourage even ripening, while mid-slope airflow maintains freshness.
