Overview

Santa Cruz Mountains AVA follows mountainous terrain south of San Francisco between the Pacific coast and Santa Clara Valley. Its boundary was notably defined through elevation and the coastal fog line, capturing high ridges, slopes, and valleys rather than the densely settled lowlands on either side.
