Overview
On a gently east-facing mid-slope, Romanée-Conti combines clay-rich brown limestone soil with hard Jurassic bedrock. The site yields intensely perfumed Pinot Noir of red and dark fruit, spice, sensual texture, profound complexity, and extraordinary aging capacity.
Geography & Climate
The enclosed parcel occupies the favored mid-slope of Vosne-Romanée around 260 meters, adjoining La Romanée and Romanée-Saint-Vivant.
Soils
Brown limestone soil about sixty centimeters deep contains a substantial clay component over hard Premeaux limestone.
