Overview

At the southern edge of Gevrey-Chambertin’s grand-cru band, Latricières-Chambertin lies near the opening of the Combe Grisard. Its elevated, ventilated position and thin limestone soils give Pinot Noir tension, savory complexity, fine tannin, and a notably mineral, restrained profile.

The vineyard occupies the upper-to-mid east-facing slope south of Chambertin, adjoining Morey-Saint-Denis and influenced by the nearby combe.

Thin, stony calcareous soils over hard Jurassic limestone contain marl and limited clay.

The appellation is exclusively red Pinot Noir, often linear and reserved when young before gaining aromatic and savory depth.
