Overview
Between Vougeot and Vosne-Romanée, Échezeaux stretches from roughly 230 to above 300 meters across broken slopes and numerous named climats. Diverse marl, gravel, red alluvium, and limestone soils yield fragrant, generous Pinot Noir with spice, supple power, and site-dependent complexity.

The appellation occupies varied east-facing slopes above Flagey-Échezeaux, beside Musigny and Grands Échezeaux.
